Visitor Visa:

This visa stream lets you visit Australia as a tourist, to go on a cruise or to visit family and friends. Apply in or outside Australia.

Visitor Visa (Subclass 600)

Types of Visa Streams under Australia Visitor Visa (Subclass 600)

Tourist Stream(Offshore/Onshore): This visa stream allows you to visit Australia as a tourist, sightseeing, holiday, to visit family and friends or for the purposes other than business or medical.

Processing time: Up to 36 days.

Stay up to 12 months.

Sponsored Family Stream: This visa stream allows people who are sponsored by their family members to come to Australia to visit their family members.

Processing Time: Up to 66 days.

Stay up to 12 months.

Business Visitor Stream: This visa stream allows you to visit Australia for business reasons

Processing time: Up to 14 days

Stay up to 3 months.

Basic Eligibilty:

  • Be a genuine investor.
  • Have sufficient funds to support your stay and leave.
  • Meet Health and Character requirement.
  • Sponsor who is an Australian Citizen or permanent resident (Family Stream).
  • Perform business visitor activities (Business Stream).

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 491)

Work Visa

This visa stream allows an Australian businesses or employer to get skilled workers from offshore by providing them with a job offer to work in Australia. The sponsored work visa can be applied under any of the following categories:

Basic Eligibility

  • You must have the necessary skills for the job
  • You must be nominated by an Australian employer
  • You must meet our health and character requirements

Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186)

This visa lets skilled workers, who are nominated by their employer, live and work in Australia permanently.

Listed below are the visa streams that you can apply for under the Employer Nomination Scheme Stream:

Direct Entry Stream: This visa lets skilled workers, who are nominated by an employer, live and work in Australia permanently.

Requirements:

  • Must be nominated by an Australian employer.
  • Occupation must be on the relevant list of eligible skilled occupation.
  • Have at least competent English.

Labour Agreement Stream: This visa lets skilled workers who are nominated by their employer live and work in Australia permanently. The Labour Agreement stream might be for you if you currently work, or will work, for an employer who is party to a labour agreement

Requirements:

  • The employer must have a labour agreement.

Temporary Residence Transition Stream: This visa lets skilled workers, who are nominated by their employer, live and work in Australia permanently.

Requirements

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Hold a 457, TSS or related bridging visa A, B or C
  • Have worked for your employer full-time for at least two years
  • Nominated by your employer

Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (Subclass 482): This temporary visa lets an employer sponsor a suitably skilled worker to fill a position they can’t find a suitably skilled Australian to fill.

Basic Eligibility

You must:

  • be nominated for a skilled position by an approved sponsor
  • have the right skills to do the job
  • meet the relevant English language requirements

Listed below are the visa streams that you can apply for under the Temporary Skill Shortage Stream:

Short-term Stream: This visa enables employers to address labour shortages by bringing in skilled workers where employers can’t source an appropriately skilled Australian worker.

You can stay for up to 2 years or up to 4 years if an International Trade Obligation (ITO) applies. Hong Kong passport holders may stay up to 5 years.

Requirements

  • Occupation is on the short-term skilled occupations list

Medium-term Stream: This visa enables employers to address labour shortages by bringing in skilled workers where employers can’t source an appropriately skilled Australian worker.

You can stay for up to 4 years.

Requirements

Labor Agreement Stream: This visa is for skilled workers nominated by employers who have a Labour Agreement. It lets you live and work in Australia temporarily. Labour agreements are developed between the Australian Government (represented by the Department) and employers.

You can stay for up to a maximum of 4 years, depending on the terms in the labour agreement.

Requirements

  • Employer has to have a labour agreement with the Australian government in effect.

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 491): This is a provisional visa. It is for skilled workers who want to live and work in regional Australia.

You can stay(live, work and study) for up to 5 years in a designated regional area of Australia. Apply for permanent residence after years from the time your visa is granted.

Requirements

  • Nominated to apply by a state or territory government agency, or an eligible relative must sponsor you
  • have an occupation on a relevant skilled occupation list
  • have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation
  • be invited to apply
  • satisfy the points test
