Summer peak processing update – INZ Announcement on 22 November 2024

Immigration New Zealand (INZ) has announced that they are currently in the middle of its busiest time for processing visitor visa applications and has decided over 130,000 applications since September 2024.
They continue to process visitor visa applications for the 2024 — 2025 summer period as they receive them. To have the best chance of receiving a timely decision on your visa, INZ strongly encourage that all travellers to submit their application as soon as possible. To help avoid delays with the visa application, make sure to submit a complete application with all the necessary documentation.
INZ recommend that you allow 4 weeks for visa processing. Applications that are missing supporting documents or English translations are more likely to be declined.
